Terms of Service

    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By downloading, installing, or using Sue ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

    2. Description of Service

    Sue is an AI-powered cooking assistant that helps you import recipes, plan meals, and cook with hands-free voice guidance. Some features require an active subscription.

    3. Subscriptions & Billing

    • Sue offers a free tier with limited features and a paid subscription ("Sue Pro") that unlocks all functionality.
    • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
    • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
    • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.
    • Free trial eligibility is determined by Apple. If offered, any unused portion of the free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
    • Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.

    4. User Accounts

    You may sign in using Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen.

    5. User Content

    You retain ownership of recipes and content you create or import into Sue. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your recipes.

    6. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to:

    • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
    • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
    • Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
    • Use automated systems to access the App in a manner that exceeds reasonable use

    7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

    Sue uses artificial intelligence to parse recipes, generate meal plans, and provide cooking guidance. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. Always use your own judgment when cooking — especially regarding food safety, allergies, and dietary restrictions. Sue is not a substitute for professional nutritional or medical advice.

    8. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sue and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

    9. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling it.

    10. Changes to These Terms

    We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the App or this page.

    11. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
